White Trash Party

It is time to celebrate everyone's favorite Rolling Blackouts' All Star... That's right, i am talking about Jessi... why would you think that i was talking about joe or ben, that is just weird...
Anyways, where was i... oh yeah, Jessi's birthday party is this friday, october 19th at her place on california street. It is white trash themed so most of you should fit right in with your normal attire!!! Seriously though, dress up or prepare to be turned away at the door. No one likes 'that guy'. Starts at 7PM, so be there at like 4PM to help preparty... and by preparty, i mean make it extremely awkward for everyone involved.
Balls!

Here is the basic info from the evite (if you didn't already get it)..

-------------------

Join us to celebrate the big 2-5 with everyone's favorite fist pumping kickball star, and to welcome our little southern belle to the big city.

That's right, kids. Its time to break out your mullet wigs, mesh tanks, and belt buckles. As always, we'll be celebrating in style.

Look forward to seeing you all next Friday... Remember to brush up on your beer pong and B.Y.O.P.B.R

--------------------------

Location: 1272 California Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 US

Time: 7PM

VERY IMPORTANT: This is a theme party and white trash attire is REQUIRED to attend. But let's be honest, if you can't pull off white trash, what kind of costume party can you pull off. So get your act together and get yourself a wife beater, some flannel, sh*tty jeans, etc... bonus points for mullet wigs..

And remember to bring something to drink as i don't know how long the supplies will last at their pad.

End of Season Party

After yet another great season of kickball, it is time to send this bad boy off proper. The party is going to be at Sugar this Friday, October 12th at 9PM. Open bar as long as the money lasts (usually a good hour and a half to two hours) and guests are welcome (they will be charged a cover). So get your act together and get there on Friday night. These BALLS aren't going to party themselves!

Happy Birthday, Alan!

Happy Birthday, Alan! Man we have had our fair share of birthdays this week. I didn't crop Nav out of the photo as i think that it is hilarious that he and alan are trying to show who has the bigger sniz. While i think that Alan technically wins in this photo, we all know that in real life, Nav is hands down queen vajayjay....

Happy Birthday Boys!

Today is Danny's Bday, and Sean had his yesterday... So happy birthday boys.... but that brings me to an interesting question. Look at what danny is wearing in that photo. Does he look like a pirate? I didn't think so. It just boggles the mind that someone born on International Talk Like a Pirate Day wouldn't embrace the pirate culture... I mean look what pirates have done for the environment! So in conclusion, i think that we should all wish Danny and Sean a Happy Birthday.... but we need to mock danny mercilessly for his poor pirating skills

Today Be International Talk Like a Pirate Day! YARRRRRGH!!

Today, Sept 19th, be International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Do ye best to be as piratey as possible! Whether that be saying things such as "Avast ye, matey... Walk the plank!... etc" or illegally downloading some music online, make sure that you are sticking it to the man one way or another... Oh, and everyone best be plundering some Booty tonight!

as another reminder we are on field 3 (the one all the way back in the corner) at 6PM... Be there! YARRRGH!

That is why i need you to email me your votes for the all star game. Remember... You get 3 votes. I guy, one girl, and preferably one post-op she male (or you can just choose one more guy or girl)...

Deep Thoughts: By Spencer Sayles

"Everyone on this team needs to follow our lead and up the spicy factor immediately to finish the season right. Not enough of this kind of activity is going on right now. A team that sleeps together plays together. That debacle last night was the result of 11 individuals NOT the cohesive ball kicking sex machine that we should be at this point in the season. Pull it together people and start getting it on."

Rolling Blackouts V. Recess Warriors Awards

Best Outfielder: Ken... the only one to not drop a ball... however, he was also the only one to not have a ball kicked to him so you be the judge...

Worst Outfielder: I thought about this one and i still can't make up my mind. On the one hand, i think that Terry's ball dropping cost us more runs and dealt the bigger emotional blow, Naveen's play was just as atrocious! I mean, nav, they told you that they were going to kick it to you. The balls were literally kicked right to you... you knew they were coming, and you still couldn't bring them in...

Best Catch: Tie between Chalk and Jessi. Both had huge stops in the infield which help to stop the bleeding. It is nice to see that we had a couple pair of hand capable of holding onto the ball...

MVP: Jennie Martucci. When it was the bottom of the 4th and most had completely given up, she was the one that went up there and started the rally... i wouldn't exactly call it a comeback, but it was nice to see that someone still had some heart out there...

Honorable mention: Ken... he did score our only run of the game... way to go zilla.--------Alright now that we got that out of the way, how about something positive?and the bar awards go to?

Flip Cup MVP: Sean Tabor. We went head to head against the Recess Warriors 4 times... and all 4 times, sean was 'one and done' well played sir...

Most Clutch: Spencer... pretty sure that the guy had to work at midnight, but when we had a game against the RW's on the line in a one on one match, spence slammed that beer with authority and flipped it perfectly to keep our streak alive.

Best Flip Cup team:

ROLLING BLACKOUTS! we fu*king dominated the RW's 4 games in a row. NERDS!!!! we would have kept it up, but they walked away after having their asses handed to them four consecutive times.

Most Agro Flip Cuppers: Lynne and Ken... i think that i saw them do at least 4 rounds of full cup flip cup...

Biggest Hungry eyes: Spencer and Kristen... FOR EACH OTHER... who makes out in the middle of the bar? apparently the rolling blackouts...

Pics from last night....

Luckily we performed much better at the bar than we did on the field... and apparently it was 'infinity shot night' at Bar None last night... who would have thunk it?

yikes...

Yeah, that picture pretty much sums up what happened to us last night... Let's regroup and get ready for next week...

Essentially, it is a block and a half from the new fields and looks to be a sweet spot to grab some $2 PBRs before we dominate some other team at Kickball.

Rivalry Week

HUGE game this week. We are facing the only other undefeated team in the league, and our long time rivals, The Recess Warriors. The game is at 7PM on field 2. Be there by 645 to get some warm up drills in. Let's win this one and let them know that we are the team to beat from now on! Scouting report to follow in the email.

Week 6 Awards...

Good job out there yesterday... totally came back and dominated the 'humps'... some awards...

MVP: Joe "homerun" Donnelly... man, your parents really called that one when they named you. Well played buddy. Nothing like a little homerun to put the other team on the defensive.... even if you did fall over in left field trying to get a ball that was hit right to you....

Honorable Mention: Jennie Martucci... A couple of key catches that really shut the black team down. We won't talk about your 'buckneresque' moment where the ball when through your legs (there has to be a good joke in there somewhere)....

2nd mention: Kelly Greenly... key catch in the outfield.... nice play, kelly..

Sweetest moves: Danny Brehm? What sealed it for me is when that chick had a little chip shot and danny comes out of nowhere to catch it... the other team is complaining that he was in front of the batter.... but not so much.... the best was when castillo said, "man, danny would be dangerous if he was wearing cleats". good job dan-o....

Most consistent: Jessi... As usual, she scores the first run... it is pretty much clockwork.. keep up the good work.

Best no show: Paul. Seriously, man... show up to work and get your sh*t done so that you can get to the field, or even the bar.... you are killing me... plus how is that 'stache supposed to get any if you don't take it out sometime?

Dirtiest Bunter: Vance... i have never seen anyone who only kicks the ball about 2 feet in front of the plate that can consistently outrun the throw from the catcher... nice!

Worst Flip Cup player: Rob... i am sorry guys... thankfully the rest of the team carried me so that we still won more than we lost, but i was a liability last night.. i am going to go ahead and blame it on the fact that is was a balmy 1.2 million degrees down in the pit... Next time i will just stick to coaching....

Most likely to bring 'em young: Julie Martucci... she didn't even take down the 23 year old she was hanging with last night... my theory is that she is keeping her game tight by keeping up on the latest in power rangers, TMMT, etc.. she is going to need it this weekend when she 'meets the parents' of the 17 year old (he might be 18, not sure)... nice...

Best 1-4-24 player: Rob... i somehow won like $35 last night... i didn't think that it was possible, but whatever... i should have just gone to tahoe (ken, were you 'up in tahoe' last night?)

Worst shuffleboard players: Joe and his girl, katie... They got stomped by Jessi and I (who then got stomped by julie and her young friend)...

Best late night spot: KT's... As always, a great place to end the night with sean playing sing along songs ... how can you go wrong... it was all totally worth the hangover that i have right now....

Pics from last night...

We're Going to Miss You!

Well, no more Boom Boom Room... well at least for this season. It was a good run while it lasted. If anyone knows about a good pregame bar around Anza & Arguello, let us know!

Big Game This Week

Alright guys, our game this week is huge. We are playing the black team who are also undefeated and are in second place right behind us. The reason I am writing this post so early in the morning is because I just woke up from a dream I had about this game. In my dream we barely got there in time and then got our asses handed to us because Mike Nuckles kept dropping fly balls in the outfield. I think the final score was 5-1. This cannot happen. If Nuckles shows up to the game I am psychic and we are screwed. Otherwise I think we should be fine. This team is good so we have to bring it on, and by bring it on I mean stomp the yard, and by stomp the yard I mean I want us to be the ones saying You got served when all is said and done. Please read Rob's directions below and make sure to get there well before 6, we can't have a forfeit for a game this big.

Blackouts Win (again)!

Well, we did it again last night. While i would have liked to see a few more runs put up on the board, we played a great game defensively. That is what we do....

Take it all in Stride

This week we are playing Stride. They are the green team and are currently in last place. Don't let that fool you. Game time is 740 on field 1 (closest to the library). Don't be late or mike tyson will eat your children...

Balderdash

I'm calling balderdash on the Scavenger Hunt. That was total horse-shit. I risked my life for two hours sitting shotgun with a blacked out Naveen who had slept for ten minutes the night before, only to get ripped off at the winners podium. Not only should we have won the gold (yes, we did hit Yerba Buena Gardens) but to not even get a bronze medal was a slap in the face. Real classy event guys. And next time you should think about inviting your roommate, I'm sure Ken feels great about himself now. Weak sauce!

Blackouts win at everything...

So yesterday in the 1st annul go-car photo scavenger hunt, two blackouts, jessi and ben, took home the gold medals. It was a tough battle which also saw to more blackouts on the winner's podium (danny and nav), but ultimately it was the drive and determination of two of last years all stars. Pretty sure that the F'ing sweet jackets helped tremendously as well.

Feel the Akward...

So how happy is Jessie? Is this the start of a beautiful new relationship?

Last Night's Pic

We win... well technically...

Well, it was a real defensive showdown last night. Too bad it didn't mean anything! HA. Good work out there. we totally had them believing that the game actually counted!

Caption Contest

What is going through terry's head right now?

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies......

If you were looking out for Ben, then you might have missed this guy! Whoa, I can hardly stare at that photo without feeling grave concern for all other teams in the league. I mean, just look at the fire in those eyes. This is selective breeding at it's best. And yes, ladies, he's still on the market. Get some today!

Ladies, look out!

I am only half joking! Ben will be on the mound tomorrow, so to all the women on the other team, i hope that your heads and backs are ready for the fastball!

Know Your Enemy!

Alright, everyone....

This week pits us against the "Double Baggers" (DB's)... now i am not positive, but i think that is what Joey Evans has to do with two garbage bags to keep his ginormous head from getting soaked in the rain.

The Game is 740 on Field 3.

Long story short is that this team is an offshoot of the WMC's from last season. Full scouting report to follow in email form.

Last Night's Pics...

We are one sexy team, there is no denying it!

BLACKOUTS WIN!!!!! (obvy)

Well, we did it again. I know that it isn't that big of a surprise, but we did have a little worry in the first inning. Luckily, DC worked the kinks out and ended up pitching tremendously for the last three innings. Ty Vance had one of the scariest dives i have seen yet at kickball, but somehow managed to break his fall into the concrete with his head, and was no worse for the wear. Terry had about +/- infinity catches in right field, but his sliding prowess was really the highlight of the day. I have never seen anyone try to slide into a base from about 10 ft out.... without having any forward momentum...

Anyway, great job all. We put up a bunch of runs, stepped it up on defense, and partied our balls/labs off at the bar. That is how we roll. Well played, everyone, well played...

UPDATE: Game time change!

EARLY GAME!!!!!

The game is now at 7PM. Be there 10 minutes early so that we can start on time. Be at the Boom Boom Room by 630 so that we can 'warm up'. Balls!!!

Are you a Tabiac?

Well if you are, then you are in luck because everyone's favorite teammate that also entertains us at KT's (well at least the only one who gets paid to entertain us) has booked a gig at the Red Devil Lounge on Saturday, October 20th. Tickets will be available for pre-sale, with a nominal increase at the door.

Yellow Fever

Alright kiddies.... Our competition is going to be hitting up the Boom Boom before the game tomorrow... so you best be bringing your best drinking shoes.... We need to make sure that we beat them at drinking, beat them at the game, then beat them at drinking (albeit at a different bar). So get fired up!

LATE GAME

We got the late game this week. That means that you need to be at Field 1 (nearest the library) no later than 730....

Our new mascot?

So, the pink elephant says everything about our team. The only question is: What do we name it? Leave your suggestions in the comments... The best ones will be put to a vote by the team. Once we have him named, we will order him and get him outfitted with a proper uniform!

Team Mascot

First off, let me say that I couldn’t be happier with this team and the great start that we have been off to. As I sit here at work and am counting down the minutes until this Wednesday’s game, it struck me - we have no mascot! Well that is all about to change. After careful deliberation, I think that that there is no better mascot than a Drunken Pink Elephant. We have all seen them and I think we need to embrace them by plastering this image on anything we can – shirts, flags, team tattoos, etc.

As Barney from the Simpsons said, “Thank you pink elephant, you have always been there for me.”

Ashley's birthday

It was great to see so many Rolling Blackouts at Zoe's birthday pub crawl, however like a self-fulfilling prophecy I completely blacked out and now would like to know who smeared chocolate all over me. Not cool guys. I had to walk home this morning looking like someone smeared shit all over my clothes. Anyways, are we still looking for a team slogan? Joe has a sweet new Goonies shirt that says Never Say Die. Just an idea. Fuck this hangover. There's another one.

Know your enemy!

Alright guys, this week we have the yellow team. Be very wary of them. We all know that historically they have not exactly been the best team in the league, but from what i have seen this season, we need to be careful. Bring the A-game! A more detailed scouting report will be coming out in the next day or two over the email...

MMMMMM.....

I'm Zoe, I know how to take down birthday shots likes its my job...... Happy early bday, zoe. And for those of you curious, her birthday is this upcoming wednesday, when we take on (and inevitably beat) the yellow team.
